It’s not just a broken wrist……

As some of you will know, this weekend (1 week before Christmas) I had an accident which has left me with my left arm in plaster with a fractured wrist, which although is very painful and uncomfortable, it hasn’t stopped me from being able to work, although Katherine has had to take on chauffeur duties as I am not allowed to drive and unfortunately I will not be able to do the washing up on Christmas day, such a shame, I am devastated!

This has got me to thinking, what would you or your family do if you were unable to work through injury or sickness? A lot of people that I am connected with on Linkedin or have liked my page on Facebook are self-employed, what would happen if through injury or sickness you were unable to go out to earn the money which pays for your mortgage, your monthly rent or has brought all those lovely presents under the Christmas tree (if you choose to celebrate the festive period)?

For as little as £5 per month you can purchase a type of insurance which is a simple and affordable long-term policy with no complex calculations or second-guessing. This little policy means that you can relax a little, and fully focus on recovery knowing that you will be provided with a fixed income for a minimum of 12 months.

Alternatively, the policy can be paid to your business so that you can employ someone to come in and do the work that you would otherwise do, meaning your customers continue to receive the service that they deserve and good news it is also tax deductible, keeping your accountant happy.

Putting food on the table is one of life’s essentials. But if you can’t work, even the weekly shop could be a struggle. Give your family piece of mind this Christmas by ensuring that those everyday living costs can still be paid if you are unfortunate enough to have an accident or fall ill.

Why not speak to Katherine Rowell Financial Advice to see if this is suitable for you.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
